Three tips for shopping for a new car amid a pandemic

Even if the Coronavirus seems to be taking things a little more lightly these days, we must not forget that the pandemic is far from over. Above all, its effects are still being felt, especially in the automotive sector. Consequently, if you're still planning to buy a new model, here are three little tips for the new shopping experience that awaits you.

1 - The online experience

Last February, what seems like an eternity, we went to a dealer to see and try out the models that interested us. Although it's still possible to do so, the experience is not as smooth as it used to be. Here's where the online experience comes in. Before you show up at the dealership, get to know everything about the vehicle(s) you're interested in so you can ask the right questions. Check out the road tests that have been done on them and talk online with representatives to discuss price, interest rates, offers and other related topics.

2 - Offers

Speaking of offers, we will have to pay attention as consumers in the coming weeks and months. Manufacturers have models to sell off and manufacturers will have to send them in as production has resumed around the world. Consequently, some offers will be put forward and will be interesting. We have seen significant discounts being offered, as well as attractive lease terms at 0% interest. Be alert.

3 - A brand new 2019 model?

What would you say if you were offered a 2019 model, but still brand new? How is that possible? It's simple. At the beginning of each year, dealers are always "caught" with models from the previous year in stock. Every year, they get interesting offers to sell them out in the first few months of a new calendar. However, with the pandemic, they have not yet had time to sell off all the 2019 models they have left. And now they are impatiently waiting for the 2021 models. Depending on which model you're interested in, we might have something irresistible for you. Don't hesitate to explore this avenue.
