The Subaru Ascent comes with a bunch of new perks for 2023, starting with a redesigned grille and new LEDs. Check the newest features of this big SUV that can hold up to eight passengers in three rows.
Interior Features
The interior look is slick and elegant, and it features added luxuries in some of its trims, like a panoramic sunroof and leather-trimmed seats. Some legroom has been added for the third row of passengers, which makes it the most spacious SUV in its category.
Exterior Features
The Subaru Ascent comes with a more aggressive look for its 2023 version with an expanded grille and new light system. Amateurs will enjoy black finish rear and front modifications for a chunkier style.
Colour Options
The Subaru Ascent is available in Crystal Black Silica, Crystal White Pearl,
Ice Silver Metallic, and Magnetite Gray Metallic. More colours are available such as navy blue and metallic red.
Performance Features, Towing Capacity
The engine remains unchanged from previous versions. The 2.4-litre SUBARU BOXER engine packs 260 horsepower. The 2023 Ascent is an all-wheel-drive, which conquers rough terrain easily and is quite fast on normal roads.
Some torque power has been added compared to previous versions, with 277 lb-ft of torque capability, and the vehicle's towing capacity amounts to a maximum of 2,270kg.
Comfort and Security Features
The Subaru Ascent 2023 is a family SUV and delivers enhanced cargo space for its seven to eight passengers. This SUV features the EyeSight Driver Assist Technology that offers blind-spot detection, pedestrian detection, and lane-keeping assistance. At night, the High Beam Assist helps the driver to have more visibility on the road.
The pre-collision braking system performs emergency braking when the vehicle is driving under 80km/h. Other safety features are included, such as airbags for every passenger. Drivers can enjoy parking assistance with the help of 360-degree cameras on the front and rear ends of the vehicle.
Infotainment
The 2023 Subaru Ascent offers a 29.46cm STARLINK touchscreen with plenty of multimedia functions such as audio controls, a GPS navigation system, and warning signs for the pilot. The technology of this SUV is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and it offers Bluetooth connectivity on some trims.
Available Models
The 2023 Ascent comes with five models on the line-up, each available in a seven or eight-seat version. The line-up comes as follows: Base, Premium, Onyx Edition/Limited, Limited, and Touring.
Release Date
The Subaru Ascent 2023 is already in production since the beginning of Autumn, and it’s now available to the Canadian market via your local dealership.

The line-up starts with the Base model ($33,895), the Premium ($36,495), the Onyx Edition ($41,295), and continues with the Limited trim ($56,386). The high-end model is the Touring, which costs $48,195.
