It is not only one of the most stylish mid-sized cars on the market but it also has a lot of power and performance features that make it an exhilarating ride. So, now does the Impreza compare to some of its competitors? Keep reading our in-depth comparison of the 2020 Subaru Impreza and the 2020 Honda Civic to find out.

Exterior Features

At first glance, you can see the differences between the and the Civic. The Impreza is outlined in sharp lines and smooth edges, which gives it a sporty, yet sophisticated,  to it. The narrow headlights and slender grille help to add to the exterior's overall sporty appeal.

The Honda Civic has more rounded edges to its exterior. It also features elongated headlight and tail light, gives the illusion that it is a bit bigger than the Impreza. In reality, however, both cars are the same size.

Interior Features

The Impreza's interior is just as sophisticated-looking as its exterior. The interior features a 6.5-inch multi-media touchscreen display or the available 8-inch touchscreen display. Both display options come equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to ensure that you are able to stay connected to the world around you while you are driving the car.

The Impreza's interior is also exceptionally spacious. The car is able to seat up to five people comfortably. The rear trunk area offers plenty of room for your cargo, however, in case you do need a little extra room for some of your extra-large items, the rear seats are able to fold down in a 60/40 split, creating even more cargo space.

To ensure that you are able to stay comfortable on long road trips, the Impreza also comes equipped with a heating steering wheel as well as a specially designed driver's seat that supports your hips and back better and improves poster.

The Honda Civic also has a fairly spacious interior. However, it does not come with specially designed seats, so long car rides may be a little uncomfortable after a while.

Safety Features

The Impreza comes standard with EYESIGHT Assist Technology. This system uses two different cameras to monitor traffic and other objects around the vehicle. When the system detects any type of danger, it alerts the appropriate safety system to help you stay safe.

The advanced safety systems that come equipped with the EYESIGHT system include:

  • Pre-Collision Brake Assist
  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • LaneDeparture Waring
  • Pre-Collision throttle Management
  • Lane Sway Warning
  • Lane Keep Assist
  • Lead Vehicle Start Alert

The Honda Civic does offer a few driver-assist features. However,  you have to purchase the higher trim levels to get them and some features, such as the Lead Vehicle Start Alert system are not even offered on any of the Civic models.
