2020 Subaru Crosstrek VS 2020 Toyota RAV4

A crossover offers the storage space of an SUV, the agile handling of a sedan, and the towing capacity to ensure that you have the necessary gear for outdoor treks. There are a variety of crossovers on the market today, and two of the most popular are the 2020 Subaru Crosstrek and Toyota RAV4.

Overview of the 2020 Subaru Crosstrek

Featuring standard AWD and a hybrid option, the 2020 Subaru Crosstrek is ready for whatever you want to throw at it. Whether it is a daily commute or a backroad journey, the Crosstrek is designed to offer comfort and style no matter how you choose to use it. The Crosstrek starts at just $23,795 while offering 152 horsepower to fuel your adventures.

The Crosstrek is a compact crossover that offers safety features to protect you when other drivers aren't paying attention. These features include EyeSight driver assist technology, high beam assist, blind-spot detection/rear cross-traffic alert, reverse automatic braking, traction control system, anti-lock braking system, and the SUBARU STARLINK system.

Overview of the 2020 Toyota RAV4

The 2020 Toyota RAV4 is built to help you explore the world in the way that you want. Available in both FWD and AWD versions and with a gas or hybrid engine, the RAV4 offers a variety of models that can go seamlessly from city streets to highways to off-road trails. Starting at $28,090 and offering 203 horsepower, the RAV4 is beautifully designed, comfortably equipped, and fuel-efficient.

All Toyota RAV4 models come equipped with the Star Safety System, which includes smart stop technology, vehicle stability control, anti-lock brakes, traction control, electronic brake-force distribution, and brake assist. Other standard features include a backup camera and blind-spot monitoring. As you progress into the higher model levels, such as XLE, Trail, and Limited, the RAV4 offers more safety features, such as intelligent clearance sonar, panoramic view monitor, and bird's eye view monitor.

The main difference between the Crosstrek and RAV4 is that the Crosstrek is considered a compact crossover while the RAV4 is a mid-size vehicle. This means that the RAV4 offers more space, both for passengers and for cargo. This is because the Crosstrek's hatchback design cuts down on the amount of space available, especially in the rear for hauling cargo. Both vehicles offer a generous 680kg towing capacity.

While both the Subaru and Toyota are very similar, the Crosstrek offers the chance to save several thousand dollars. The lowest model Crosstrek comes equipped with standard features that are only available on higher-end RAV4 models, including AWD, which is good for changing weather conditions as well as off-roading. The Crosstrek's stylish design is complemented by a SUBARU BOXER engine that offers responsive, sporty handling that makes the vehicle fun to drive.
