The All-New Subaru BRZ

All-new for 2022, the BRZ continues its evolution with more power, refined styling, a more rigid body structure, and a modernized interior. Despite all the advancements this exciting sports car sticks to the design principles of the outgoing BRZ, including excellent aerodynamics, low weight and centre of gravity, precision agility and more and legendary rear wheel drive configuration that enables the vehicle to maximize output.

The 2022 Subaru BRZ is upgraded for even better performance

The new 2.4-litre Subaru Boxer engine adds more power than its predecessor with 228 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. Combined with the vehicle's light curb weight of just 1,277 kg, the BRZ confirms the output and feel of a true sports car.

The BRZ offers two transmission choices. For purists, one is an updated six-speed manual that features close-ratio shifting. The other is a six-speed automatic that adds a downshift blip control and paddle shifters. Either way, they give you more control over the spirit level of your driving.

The front engine, rear-wheel drive configuration, and low chassis keep the BRZ close to the ground. The lighter weight is due to the more generous use of aluminum in the hood, roof and fenders. As a matter of fact, the BRZ is the lightest 2+2 production sports car available in Canada.

The BRZ's weight vs. power characteristics are just the beginning. The body structure is even more rigid than the previous model, improving agility and response. The suspension is redesigned to accommodate a low hood while ensuring proper dynamics for sports handling and ride quality. The upgraded body structure provides an optimal platform for the standard Vehicle Stability Control system that enhances performance and traction.

The 2022 Subaru BRZ's interior is just as fun as the outside

The BRZ has an all-new interior that features sport bucket seats, a seven-inch digital dashboard, a configurable tachometer display, mode-based digital readouts, excellent sight lines and more.

The new eight-inch infotainment display/touch screen features Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, Bluetooth hand-free connectivity and streaming, SiriusXM and connected services.

Subaru's EyeSight Driver Assistance Technology monitors the road and identifies potential hazards. Safety equipment in this suite includes Automatic Pre-Collision Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure and Sway Warning, Lane-keep Assist and more.
