Subaru Plans for EV: Introducing 2023 Subaru Solterra electric SUV

Subaru presents its first groundbreaking all-electric SUV car, the 2023 Subaru Solterra. One of the key Subaru plans for EV includes combining the legendary Subaru design with all-electric efficiency. The first global battery-electric vehicle (BEV) maintains the Subaru driving experience. With this creation from Subaru and Toyota, you’re guaranteed real-world versatility.

Driving Performance

The 2023 Subaru Solterra electric SUV features the infamous Subaru Symmetrical AWD (all-wheel-drive) system and two electric motors. One motor powers the front wheels and the other the rear wheels. The configuration and engineering give the SUV superior capability, control, traction, and handling on any terrain. You get more control and stability on all terrains thanks to the X-MODE system, which has the Hill Ascent and Descent Assist.

Interior

Subaru hasn’t compromised on comfort in the interior of the 2023 Subaru Solterra electric SUV. The SUV has an interior volume of up to 3,530 litres, while the cargo space has 820 litres of storage space. You also get an extra-wide opening and low load height for easy access. The StarTex upholstery and logically organized layout provide enhanced convenience and comfort.

Entertainment is guaranteed thanks to the 12.3-inch touchscreen and 11-speaker Harman Kardon audio. The car also has Android Auto and Apple’s CarPlay integrations. Drivers can use the advanced infotainment system to access music, podcast, and news via SiriusXM and cloud-based applications. Additionally, connectivity and driving convenience are enhanced by the Solterra Connect app, Climate Control Preconditioning, vehicle status/maintenance reports, wireless device charging, and remote lock/unlock.

Exterior

Subaru introduces the new and innovative e-Subaru Global Platform, engineered explicitly for all-electric cars. The platforms feature a reinforced structure and strategically located crumple zones to ensure crash protection. During an accident, the platform hastily directs the impact from the passenger compartments and absorbs it. In addition, you can enjoy a good sky view through the panoramic glass roof.

Safety

The safety systems present in the 2023 Subaru Solterra electric SUV are equally advanced. The all-electric SUV has the Subaru EyeSight Driver-Assist Technology, a next-generation system. The system monitors traffic movement and optimizes cruise control. The Pre-Collision Braking System protects you from possible collisions, which automatically stops the car.

Additionally, safety features present in the vehicle include the rear cross-traffic alert system, panoramic view monitor (360-degree camera), reverse automatic, and advanced car parking systems.

Trim Levels

The 2023 Subaru Solterra electric SUV is expected to have three trim levels; Premium, Limited, and Touring. The Premium trim level has the standard features, while the Limited and Touring have more advanced features. Notable features present only on the Touring include ventilated front seats, an interior trim that’s illuminated, and a two-tone painted roof. The Touring’s glass roof has a retractable sunshade, while the display rearview mirror has auto-dimming capabilities.

Subaru hasn’t stated the starting price of the Subaru electric SUV. Nevertheless, you can contact any of our Subaru car dealers and get additional information about the 2023 Subaru Solterra electric SUV and reserve your preferred trim level today!
