2023 Subaru Outback Changes

New styling, safety features, and in-car technologies are added to the car-like alternative SUV. The changes are still minimal, as they have been with Forester recently. The elevated station wagon adds a more rugged appearance and active safety features. Discover all the details of the new 2023 Subaru Outback below. Find out everything about the brand-new Subaru Outback 2023 below.

Exterior

The 2023 Subaru Outback line has a more aesthetically pleasing design overall, except for the recently released Wilderness version. A newly designed grille, new LED headlights, fog lights and more protection for the front bumper make up the updated front end of the Outback. However, the sides have undergone the most apparent change. Adding new mouldings between the lower body, the headlights, and the edges of the wheel arches gives the car a more rugged look.

Interior

The 2023 Outback’s improvements inside the cabin are less noticeable but still present. For instance, the driver’s seat now has power lumbar support that can adjust four ways, and both the front and rear seats have USB-A and USB-C plug-in ports.

Technology

The 7-inch dual-screen infotainment system is a standard feature of the Outback 2023, and it is wired for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. Thanks to the Starlink multimedia system’s sizable, vertically oriented screen, users can use the Android Auto or Apple CarPlay connection without a cord.

The system has an 11.6-inch high-resolution touchscreen that incorporates the heating system, X-MODE, instruments, and improved touch controls for sound, climate, ventilation, and some vehicle functions. The 11.6-inch multimedia navigation system features voice-activated navigation supported by the most recent TomTom software and SiriusXM Traffic, which comes with a free three-month subscription.

Security

The top model in the lineup includes a new wide-angle camera connected to the dual-camera EyeSight system, which improves visibility to spot cyclists, pedestrians and other vehicles. Standard EyeSight driver assistance features include advanced adaptive cruise control with lane keepers, which imparts steering wheel movement when the system detects the beginning of lane departure and assists the driver in maintaining the desired lane. The Emergency Steering Assist function is part of the EyeSight system. Travelling at speeds under 80 km/h assists the pre-collision braking system in preventing collisions.

A specialized infrared camera and facial recognition technology are used by DriverFocus, a feature available on the Premier XT, Limited XT, and Limited models. It detects driver distraction or fatigue and warns the driver and passengers visually and audibly.

Trim and price

The 2023 Subaru Outback is available in seven trim levels. Convenience is the base trim and costs $32,695. It has a 2.5-litre Subaru Boxer engine with 182 horsepower and a CVT automatic transmission. The Premier XT is the top model in the lineup and comes with a Subaru Boxer 2.4-litre turbo engine with 260 horsepower. Priced at $46,395, it is a highly well-equipped trim.
