Performance and Driveability

The 2022 Subaru WRX models are all about performance. It comes with a 2.4L engine and a turbocharged Subaru Boxer 4-cylinder. The driveability is also improved by Active Torque Vectoring, which controls the vehicle’s dynamics. This powerful engine puts out 271 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque capacity.

It has a 6-speed manual transmission, which can also be controlled via transmission paddles. All trims in this line are AWD (all-wheel drive) and can go from 0 to 60km in six seconds. The 2022 Subaru WRX is superior to its predecessors in every way when it comes to performance and driveability.

Interior Details

The 2022 Subaru is quite a spacious vehicle, considering its sport compact nature. There’s still enough headspace and legroom for everyone to ride comfortably. The front seats have several adjustment options, so finding the best position is not complicated. Surfaces are covered with a carbon fibre-like material and nicely contrasting red stitching. The front seats of the flagship model, GX, are covered in microsuede and signed by Recaro.

Although it’s a compact vehicle, it still has some space in the trunk: 12.5 cubic feet. Although it’s less space than an average sedan, it still has more space than hatchback vehicles. Besides, the backseats can be folded to increase cargo space.

Tech and Safety Features

Subaru has taken care of the tech side of the car. All models have integration with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as a Starlink connection. All trims have a Harman-Kardon sound system with 11 speakers as optional. The basic trim comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display, while the other models have an 11-inch display.

The 2022 Subaru WRX also comes with a wide array of driving assists and cruise controls, making the journey much safer and nearly autonomous in some aspects. Driving assists include forward collision, lane departure warnings, and an automated emergency brake.
