Engine

The 2022 Subaru Crosstrek has a 2.5L engine producing 182 horsepower. The Outback also has a 2.5L engine producing 182 horsepower. Both vehicles have all-wheel-drive, but only the Outback has a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Infotainment System

When it comes to the infotainment systems in the Crosstrek vs. Outback, there are a lot of similarities between the two vehicles. Both offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Additionally, both vehicles come equipped with Bluetooth connectivity. This helps them connect with your phone and even via a wireless network connection (Wi-Fi).

Comfort

The Crosstrek offers several comfort features as standard on all trims. This includes rear-seat heating and cooling, remote engine start/stop, heated exterior mirrors, and windshield wiper de-icer. The Outback offers some of these same features but not all—for example, it doesn’t include rear-seat heating or cooling. It does offer heated exterior mirrors as standard on all trims, though!

Safety Features

The Subaru Outback and Crosstrek have some great safety features, but they differ in some ways.

Thanks to its high-strength steel frame and rear-wheel drive, the Subaru Crosstrek has a well-established reputation for being very safe in accidents. It also has standard driver and front passenger airbags and side curtain airbags for all three rows.

The 2022 Subaru Outback offers standard rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, which helps prevent accidents when backing up in reverse. Second, it offers standard blind-spot detection with rear cross-traffic alert and lane change assist, two features not offered on the Crosstrek.

Design

Both models come with an impressive array of features that’ll make your ride as stress-free as possible. From heated seats to black leather upholstery, there are plenty of ways for you to customize your interior experience so that it feels like a home away from home.

The exterior of these vehicles is also worth mentioning because it helps set them apart from other cars in their class. Both models have sleek designs that’ll keep you feeling stylish while driving around town. They’re also available in an array of different colours so you can find one that matches your personality perfectly!

Conclusion

Gone are the simple days of Subaru. Its new models, the Crosstrek and Outback, are breakthroughs in style, performance, and design. The sporty exterior is a great match for its powerful engine and thrilling handling, making the new Subaru line-up a force to be reckoned with.
